Friends of Residents in Long-Term Care is joining AARP-NC, the NC Regional Ombudsman Association, Disability Rights NC, the NC Assisted Living Association, the NC Senior Living Association, and the NC Health Care Facilities Association to address common, critical concerns for long-term care in North Carolina.

On April 3rd you will have the opportunity to join others to talk with legislators about your concerns regarding long term care in North Carolina.

We’ll meet at 9am at the Albemarle Building, disperse to meet individually or in small groups with legislators, and return to the Albemarle building to debrief together.

Policy Priorities for 2019:

Increase the Medicaid PNA for residents in nursing homes (no increase in 31 years) and those in adult/family care homes (no increase in 16 years). Download PNA Background Paper

  • Increase the number of Long Term Care Ombudsmen in NC
Increase the ratio of Long-Term Care Ombudsman to residents in long-term care to the recommended national standards. Download Ombudsmen Background Paper
