Are you interested in serving on the Friends of Residents in Long Term Care's Board of Directors? Applications for 2024 are closed. Check back in October 2024 for a new application year.
Our Board of Directors meets every other month on Zoom; currently the second Tuesday at 1:30 (this date and time are subject to change with a new board!). Board members help us carry out our mission. Board members actively participate in decision making, help advance our public policy priorities, and raise funds to support our nonprofit organization.
Board members might be family members, residents, employed in the field of long term care, and/or interested in advancing the mission of FOR. Board members do not need to be experts in the field; rather have a passion and interest for advancing long term care policies in North Carolina. Board members serve a three-year term.
Board members are expected to:
Attend board meetings regularly.
Participate in at least one committee.
Serve as an ambassador for FOR in the community and with your network.
Financially support the organization.
Our Mission: To improve the quality of life for the 100,000+ individuals who receive long-term care services in both residential and community settings throughout North Carolina. We accomplish our mission by helping residents and their families become educated and effective self-advocates.
